XXXI AIA Conference will be held only in person at the Department of Humanities (University of Calabria), located in via P. Bucci, Arcavacata di Rende (CS).

BY PLANE

The nearest airport is in Lamezia Terme (https://lameziaairport.it), 75km south of the University of Calabria. From the terminal there are several options to reach the campus: 

• By bus: there are a few coaches connecting the terminal to the campus. One way from €5.00 (55-90 minutes). Check the bus schedules here:

• By train: local trains connect Lamezia Terme Centrale to Castiglione Cosentino via Paola. Check the timetable here: https://www.trenitalia.com/en.html. One way from €6.00 (60-90 minutes).

A shuttle connects the airport to the railway station in Lamezia Terme every 30 minutes until 11pm (€1.50 if you buy the ticket at the newsagent’s inside the terminal, €2.50 if you buy it on board). You can buy your shuttle ticket on the Trenitalia website as well (type Lamezia Terme Aeroporto as your departure station when you book your train ticket). 

The same applies for the local bus connecting the railway station in Rende (Castiglione Cosentino) to the campus (type Castiglione CS Unical as your arrival station)

• By private transfer: TopClass and Al Volo offer private transfers from the airport to the campus area. Check their policies and rates online at https://www.topclassturismo.com and https://www.al-volo.eu/Geo5/index.html.

BY TRAIN

The nearest station is Castiglione Cosentino, 2.5 km from the campus. It is served by local trains only. High speed trains stop in Paola, where you can get a local train to Castiglione Cosentino (10-15 minutes). From the railway station local busses will take you to the campus in 10 minutes. 

BY CAR

The campus is located about 1km from the Rende-Cosenza Nord exit on the A2 motorway. Free parking is available near the conference venue.
